Measuring Existing Structures for Placing New Equipment

New equipment is periodically installed on both on-shore and off-shore oil rigs. The measurements needed to manufacture and place such equipment correctly has to be very accurate as any mistakes in the manufacturing, transportation and installation of such equipment can accrue heavy expenses down the line. Traditional methods of measurement used can sometimes be unreliable and may cause misalignment of the equipment during installation. To fix the unreliability of such measurements, 3D scanning can be used to accurately capture the whole area where an equipment will be placed, allowing designers in remote offices to get a better picture of the area and easily extract dimensions as needed. By using our 3D scanners, we easily capture whole areas for easy visualization in a matter of minutes. We can also use aerial drones to capture data where our terrestrial scanners cannot reach.

Technical inspections require personnel to examine structures by sight.
