Stable Structure With CFFIM Technology
The NimbleTrack i-Scanner embraces an innovative Carbon Fiber Frame Integrated Molding (CFFIM) technology to ensure a strong and lightweight design, breaking through the limits posed by traditional assembled structures. The frame structure is highly stable and is unaffected by thermal variations allowing the system to stay calibrated for longer periods. In addition, the ergonomic design lets the user scan for longer periods without any fatigue.
A Compact Plug-and-Play System
Lightweight and compact, the NimbleTrack sets a new standard in overall weight and compactness. The system comes included in a small standard protection case that can accommodate all components allowing for flexible transportation of the system. With a weight of only 2.2 kg, the i-Tracker can easily be moved around the site to increase the scanning volume, while the i-Scanner, at 1.3 kg can be used for long periods without feeling tired.

The NimbleTrack optical 3D scanning system sets a new benchmark for wireless 3D scanning. It eliminates the need for any cables to power the system or transfer data. This allows for easier set up for on-site measurement and scanning.
The i-Scanner in the NimbleTrack system has a built-in high-capacity battery, while the i-Tracker comes with standard plug-in batteries to deliver a dual power cycle, ensuring continuous operations over a long time. All of these advancements allow for a quick set up and increase efficiency in capturing 3D scans.

The NimbleTrack is ideal for scanning objects the size of small engines and sculptures to large turbines and ship propellers.
No, the NimbleTrack series scanners do not need markers to scan objects. The system has two components; the i-Tracker and the i-Scanner. The system works by having the i-Tracker – which is usually mounted on a tripod – track the i-Scanner in the global space. The i-Tracker acquires the position of the i-Scanner by tracking the unique pattern of the anti-dust and fog markers on the i-Scanner unit.
The main differences between the two scanning systems is the use of wireless data transfer on the NimbeTrack.
The NimbleTrack is meant for scanning small to medium parts while the TrackScan-Sharp has a larger range meant for scanning medium to large parts.
When scanning large areas, the NimbeTrack is paired with the MSCAN-L15 photogrammetry system to avoid any loss in volumetric accuracy.
The i-Probe 500 works in a similar way to the scanner unit. The i-Probe 500 has markers on its body in a unique pattern which the i-Tracker can use to track it in global space. The algorithm in the software can then calculate and capture the coordinate at the tip of the probe.
