High-resolution cameras
The i-Tracker of the TrackScan-Sharp 3D scanning system is equipped with a brand-new industrial camera. The camera features 25 megapixels, which is 5 times that of its previous generation. Thanks to its dynamic adaptive LED algorithm, long-distance depth of field, and strong anti-interference ability, the system can automatically acquire clear images in a range as long as 6 meters.
Large-volume Measurement
Powered by its wide measurement volume and robust edge measurement algorithm, TrackScan-Sharp enables scanning of large-scale parts at class-leading accuracies. The large volume capacity allows the user to scan large parts without needing to move the tracker frequently. This ensures efficient, smooth, and precise measurements over large scanning volumes.
Fast target free wireless scanning
TrackScan-Sharp can precisely measure parts without having to stick reference targets due to its optical tracking technology. Its large tracking volume allows for multiple parts to be scanned at the same time, thus significantly improving operations efficiency.
Smart scanning, less setting up
The 3D scanning system can transfer data both with and without wires. With wired mode, the system can send data over a long distance in line with industrial measurement standards. Optional wireless mode support allows for applications in different working conditions, which is convenient due to its plug-and-play operations. It can be set up quickly and operated flexibly to cater to various environmental conditions, ensuring efficient measurements.
Innovative Design
Made of aerospace-grade carbon fiber in a sphere shape, the i-Scanner is intended for heavy-duty use. Its ergonomic handle can ensure long-sessions of 3D scanning without causing fatigue. The i-Tracker has an intuitive light band that shows the operating status at a quick glance in real time, while the hollow grille design helps cameras maintain a stable scanning temperature.

The TrackScan-Sharp series is ideal for scanning objects the size of small engines and sculptures to large turbines and ship propellers.
No, the TrackScan-Sharp series scanners do not need markers to scan objects. The system has two components; the i-Tracker and the i-Scanner. The system works by having the i-Tracker – which is usually mounted on a tripod – track the i-Scanner in the global space. The i-Tracker acquires the position of the i-Scanner by tracking the unique pattern of the anti-dust and fog markers on the i-Scanner unit.
The main differences between the two scanners are the use of markers while scanning and the volume size that can be scanned.
The TrackScan-Sharp does not require markers for scanning while the KSCAN-Magic does. The TrackScan-Sharp also allows for a larger volume size in scanning with the ability to increase the volume size by moving the tracker to different positions around the object.
For scanning very large areas, the TrackScan-Sharp is paired with the MSCAN-L15 photogrammetry system to avoid any loss in volumetric accuracy.
The i-Probe 500 works in a similar way to the scanner unit. The i-Probe 500 has markers on its body in a unique pattern which the i-Tracker can use to track it in global space. The algorithm in the software can then calculate and capture the coordinate at the tip of the probe.
